Market Square Bench

  • A mobile bench for flexible public spaces
    Originally designed for Market Square in Sunderland, this bench is part of a suite of mobile furniture designed to enable the transformation of public spaces for different uses with a minimum of effort and cost.
  • Integrated wheels and floor fixings
    Integrated wheels and a mechanism for fixing the bench into the paving are integrated into the bench's steel strucutre enabling easy movement whilst guaranteeing security.

  • Moving the bench
    A the benches are manoeuvred with the aid of a low cost proprietary tug-lift. Each bench can be easily moved by one person in just a couple of minutes, an urban public square reconfigured by two people in an hour.
